Read below for Flicks daily update from the road.
Felicity starts 830 km ride from Canberra to Melbourne with a small bunch of high profile riders on Monday 23rd November. Some of her bike buddies include Phil Anderson, Dave McKenzie, Grant Hackett and Alan Schmidt. She will be digging deep as they ride through the Aust Alps and hoping for a friendly push!
All riders are raising money for the Amy Gillett Foundation. Inspired by the life of Amy Gillett, the foundation was formed to reduce the incidence of death and injury caused by the interaction between cyclists and motorists.
Coinciding with the start of this ride is the launch of “A Metre Matters” .
See picture of the back of Felicitys jersey. We all know people who have not seen that car door open!
Tweets of support would be appreciated @flickbikechick
PS Have a look at the Coffee book project we are doing to raise money for this ride. We would love your help.
